On March 7, 2025, the “Nicolae Bălcescu” Land Forces Academy in Sibiu awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to Professor Ion Popa, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Management at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. This distinction recognizes his outstanding contributions to higher education and scientific research, as well as his significant impact on the development of the field of management.

The event was attended by a delegation from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, led by the University’s Rector, Professor Nicolae Istudor, PhD, and joined by members of the University’s Board of Administration, colleagues from the Faculty of Management, and friends of the awardee.

This honor reflects the dedication, professionalism, and exceptional contributions of our Dean, Professor Ion Popa, PhD, to the education of generations of students and specialists in economics and management.
