Seminar “International Accreditation and the Development of a Faculty of Management of Excellence” – 9 October 2026
The Faculty of Management organised the seminar International Accreditation and the Development of a Faculty of Management of Excellence. AACSB, EFMD and PMI Perspectives on Research, Education, Impact and Institutional Excellence.
We had four sessions presenting the issues of international accreditations (AACSB, EFMD and PMI), as well as a round table on the institutional development agenda. The seminar presentations were delivered by Professor John Parnell from the University of North Alabama (USA), the specialists from PMI Romania represented by Alexandra Oros and Cristina Dumitrescu, as well as professors and researchers of the faculty involved in international accreditations.
It was an excellent opportunity for exchanging ideas, debates and the transfer of good practices in the field of international accreditations. We are glad to have contributed to the synergy between fundamental research, applied research and the internationalisation process as factors for improving managerial culture.
We thank all the participants who filled the wonderful Virgil Madgearu Hall of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. We were joined by professors, researchers, doctoral students and administrative staff of our university, as well as guests from universities in the United States of America and Portugal, and trusted partners from the business environment (thank you, PMI Romania).
See you at the next event of this project, which will take place on the sidelines of the International Management Conference 2026!
The seminar was organised by the Faculty of Management within the FSS project “Strengthening the internationalisation process and the international accreditation of master’s programmes in the field of Management” (project director: Prof. Ion Popa, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Management).
